About me
Drawing from a background in community work and the experience of growing up biculturally, I understand the importance of finding a sense of belonging in a society that has not traditionally been inclusive. I come to each session with genuine curiosity, warmth and humor and I strive to create a space where you can fully explore and process your thoughts, feelings and experiences, without judgement.
MY APPROACH
-

RELATIONAL
Finding the right therapist can be daunting. I believe that building a strong therapeutic relationship comes down to trust, openness and respect. Most importantly, it is a collaborative process that works best when one feels truly seen and heard.
-

PSYCHODYNAMIC
A person’s early life experiences can have profound impacts - both positive and negative - on their later life experiences. Talking about the past can sometimes be painful, but it’s often through the past that we can better understand the present.
-

SKILLS-BASED
Techniques drawn from Dialectal Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy can be useful in managing symptoms of anxiety and depression when coupled with psychotherapy. They can help us regulate our emotions, challenge potentially limiting beliefs and encourage us to grow in new ways.
